KASPROWY WIERCH

Kasprowy Wierch is one of the most famous and classic places for tourists. It is located at Polish-Slovakian border. It’s name comes from a name or a nickname of a highlander – Kasper. “Skalny Dom Zakopane” is located only few kilometres from there. Localization like this results in short time for getting there at the same time giving you the possibility to stay in calm, far away from main streets of Zakopane. You can get by a ropeway or by a lift to the peak of Kasprowy Wierch, looking at beautiful Tatra landscapes and Giewont at the same time. After getting to the top of Kasprowy Wierch, tourists can eat something, buy some souvenirs or simply rest looking at the nature. The old building of Meteorological Observatory from 1930’s is also an attraction worth mentioning. Not only climbing lovers will be satisfied there. Also the skiers will remember great, well organized and diversified ski runs (Goryczkowa and Gąsienicowa) at the area of Kasprowy Wierch.

STRĄŻYSKA VALLEY

Strążyska Valley is located nearby Tatra’s most famous peaks – Giewont. It is one of the most popular valleys in Tatra Mountains. Short distance from Zakopane is an undoubted advantage. While walking through the valley it is worth to stay on the hiking trails. Walking over Strążyska Valley does not require any special preparations, as the trails are safe and easy. Red hiking trail is going through the bottom of the valley, making it an easy route. When going there, the tourist will see one of the local attractions – characteristic crags called Three Chimneys (Trzy Kominy). They look very impressively among the forested area. There is an incredible view at Strążyski Stream. While walking further, the cascades are becoming more spectacular, with the Siklawica Waterfall at the end of the route (if you chose the yellow trail). While visiting Strążyska Valley, it is worth to visit also Sarnia Skała, from where you can admire the northern side of Giewont. It is also possible to see Kominiarski Wierch, Koszysta and Yellow Crag (Żółta Turnia). Black trail leads to Sarnia Skała. “Skalny Dom Zakopane” is located very close to Strążyska Valley, what makes the stay even more adorable.
